Meet Our Teachers

Ms. Nayomi – Director

I earned my Bachelors Degree from California State University Los Angeles, after which I proceeded to obtain my Montessori primary diploma, Early Childhood credentials and Elementary Teacher credentials.

Over the last nine years I have had the greatest of satisfactions teaching both Elementary and Preschool classes. Providing the proper guidance and education which nurtures the invaluable roots of growth during the critical stages of a child’s early years has become my lifelong passion. It brings me absolute joy to be able to participate in the day to day activities of my students where I get a chance to help in laying down a solid foundation which they can use to build upon to secure a vibrant and successful future.

I feel privileged to work with families to help young children develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally. I am a firm believer of the Montessori Method of teaching and I cordially invite you and your child to become a part of this wondrous philosophy.

During my spare time I love reading, gardening and participating in charity work to help the less fortunate whether it be human or animal.

Ms. Lilly – Lead Teacher, Pre-K & Kindergarten

I have rather a long first name so my precious kids call me “Ms. Lilly”. I teach Pre-K and Kindergarten here at Little Minds Montessori Academy. While undergoing Montessori training many many moons ago, I fell in love with the Montessori Method of education. This interest paired with my desire to work with young children led me on the path of educating children-our most precious gifts on earth. My son now all grown up had the privilege of benefiting from a Montessori education.

As a parent and an educator I see what a wonderful individual he has transformed into, and I believe that it is in part due to the tender guidance of the Montessori philosophy. I am of the conviction that the Montessori Method of teaching helps to bring out the child’s inner inherent capabilities and natural curiosity. I get immense satisfaction by using the Montessori philosophy as a tool to mold young children and guide them in the right path.

After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management, I felt that this was not my calling and continued on to pursue a diploma in the Montessori Method of education from Le Ecoole Montessori Training Center.

Before joining Little Minds Montessori Academy, I was employed as a Lead Teacher at Dana Point Montessori, Dana Point, CA, San Juan Montessori, San Juan Capistrano, CA, and Montessori House of Children. I was also employed as an Assistant Teacher at San Juan Montessori, San Juan Capistrano, CA and Tutor Time Child Care Learning Center.

When I am not involved in educating children I spend time with my family, listen to music and enjoy the nature that mother earth has to offer.

Ms. Diana – Lead Teacher, Toddler

My name is Diana Walls and I am so excited to become part of the Little Minds Montessori Academy. I am married with two beautiful daughters and one handsome grandson. I was born and raised in Orange County and started teaching children while an ROP student in High School. I received my early childhood educator credentials from Rancho Santiago Community College and Orange Coast Community College. I have 30+ years as an early childhood educator and have worked with all age groups from infants to Pre-K.

Children have the itch to explore and I like to challenge their curiosity with hands on learning and making learning fun. I feel it is a teacher’s job to help your child find their way to self-reliance and independence.

In my spare time I enjoy the beach, taking care of my grandson, watching Angels baseball with my family and taking my chocolate lab Haley for long walks.

Ms Farah – Teacher, Preschool

Words can’t even explain how grateful I am to join Little Minds Montessori and to be able to make the staff part of my own little family. I have worked as a nanny for many years now, since I was 12 years of age. After changing my major several time, I realized I was meant to work around kids. At this moment, I am currently in school to continue my education in becoming a lead teacher.

Little Minds Montessori helped me learn so many new things and allowed me to share my art skills with my students to create new projects. It is amazing to see how our children grow and manage to do things on their own without any help from others. That is why working with kids is my passion. It is to see them learn, grow and develop.

I am a positive, fun, loving and energetic person. I love the outdoors, such as hiking, Jet Ski and paint balling. On my free time, I mostly draw and of course, watch television.

Ms MidnyteMs. Midnyte – Infant Teacher

It has been a tremendous privilege to have a job that I feel passionate about.  I am so delighted to be working at Little Minds Montessori Academy.  Not only am I gaining invaluable experience to become a better teacher but also enriching memories.  Getting to see the smiles, to see the excitement as the children learn something new and being a part of that, makes going to work each day truly enjoyable.  I have always loved working with children whether it was babysitting or volunteering at local schools.  I am currently attending college to complete my major in ECE. I have been to many different preschools and I feel that Little Minds is among the best.  I am so grateful that I am a part of it.

Through experience, I have come to realize that no two children are the same.  I strive to become a teacher that will support, encourage and provide the type of learning environment that will inhibit each individual child to thrive developmentally.  I feel that the Montessori way is fitting for just that.

When I am not working, I devote much of my time to volunteer work.  I also enjoy reading, dancing, traveling and going to concerts.
